Situated in a listed building on the High Street it is owned by Alex and Emma Milne-White who, along with Tessa and Mary, have a passion for books and pride themselves on delivering excellent customer service.
A wide range of titles are available from exciting new reads to timeless classics. Tantalize your tastebuds in the Cookery section, relive the past in History or find something amazing for hungry young minds in the Children's area.

If you can't find exactly what you want on the day most books can be ordered, and will often arrive the next day. Books can be posted out, or, if you live within a five mile radius can be delivered straight to your door!
If it is second-hand titles that are of interest then The Hungerford Bookshop has literally thousands of high quality volumes downstairs. Relax in an armchair and browse at leisure.
ou can also find here cards and gift wrap, notebooks, Penguin mugs, diaries and calendars, audiobooks and our own gift vouchers and National Book Tokens. This is also the place to come if you need a map for planning permission as we are an Ordnance Survey Digital Mapping Centre or to collect tickets for films shown by The Hungerford Film Club.
