Situated in a listed building on the High Street it is owned by Alex and Emma Milne-White who, along with Tessa and Mary, have a passion for books and pride themselves on delivering excellent customer service.

A wide range of titles are available from exciting new reads to timeless classics. Tantalize your tastebuds in the Cookery section, relive the past in History or find something amazing for hungry young minds in the Children’s area.

Not got what you want? Then take advantage of our fast ordering service. Most books will arrive THE NEXT DAY!

Looking for second-hand and antiquarian books? Then try our basement downstairs. We have over 4000 titles down there, with particularly good sections on History and Transport. If you can’t find what you want, then we recommend Bertram Rota who specialise in Modern First Editions, books on Architecture and the Applied Arts, and Private Press Printing and Livres d’artiste. Visit their website, request their catalogue or visit them in Covent Garden.

We also stock Book Tokens, our own gift vouchers, cards, gift wrap, DVDs, Penguin merchandise, notebooks and calendars.

We can source out-of-print books, and can provide maps for planning permission. We are also the place to purchase tickets for The Hungerford Film Club.
